Happy 7th Anniversary to my Blog – thanks for being with me.

It’s my 7th Blog Anniversary

I’d like to thank each and every one of you for visiting here and sharing my

experiences over the last 7 years.

Thanks especially to those who have been here from day one and thank you to all those who

have joined me recently.

It is great knowing you all, engaging with you, your thoughts, and comments and getting

to know you through your blogs as well.

I never thought I would still be doing this 7 years down the road.

I started my blog without

much of a clue as to where it might go but I had hoped I would meet like-minded people

in writing, photography, and life in general.

And I have.

I’ve enjoyed sharing my writing journey as well as my photos and the history of some of the

places I’ve visited on my

and I hope you have as well.

I have met the most wonderful people:

writers, readers, bloggers, and people from all over

the world who

have shared their lives and experiences with me and my visitors, enriching and

entertaining as well as informing us along the way.

During this time I have become a published author, appeared in 15 anthologies, written for

numerous online magazines and blogs,

and co-

authored the 1960s novel,

Only One Woman

with Christina Jones.

 I’ve also – recently – published a collection of

my short stories

Undercover: Crime Shorts.

It’s been quite a ride so far.

I’ve had some wonderful guest authors on my blog – writers in all genres – and I’ve learned so

much from them sharing their writing stories with us all.

It has been quite a trip –

so much so, I hope we can do it all again this coming year and years to come.

Thanks once again for being here.

Jane xx

Gorran Haven (c) Jane Risdon 2017

    • How amazing. I wish it were my study. Imagine! Goran Haven, yes know it well as friends live in Goran and we used to spend a great deal of time there when recording in the area. Leeds Castle, I took so many photos. It is a fab location for so many events and even setting books. A few photos didn’t come out properly in some areas inside the castle, for no apparent reason, Gilli, did that happen to you? I have not done a blog on Leeds Castle, I must, but have visited lots of other places of interest. If you take a wander through here you will find some I think you might enjoy. You may even have been to them. xx

      • I don’t think I remembered to take a camera. It was a LONG time ago. 1987? We bought some beautiful ornate terracotta pots there. They have only just given up the ghost.

        • We never took many photos either (back then). The cost of film and developing was a factor. Yes we were going back and forth even before then. Great purchase – got your use of them. x

    • Wow Kat, I am so pleased. Do send me your links when it is up so I can share for you. Hard work I know. Send to my FB messages. I can share from there too. Oh how kind – Spotlight page sounds awesome. Appreciated. Keep me in the loop. Have a fab week. xx

    • My pleasure any time and thanks so much for your kind words and for being here. I shall work harder on my blog this year. Book publication has been very time consuming as you know – all the PR. Hope to get more spare time this year. xx

    • I cannot believe it is 7. Seems like 5 minutes ago. I must spend more time on it this year as I was a little lax last year with my books coming out and doing PR – never enough hours. Have a fab week and thanks again, a joy having you visit. x
