I haven’t shared any photos for such a long time. I’ve been caught up with so much other stuff. Life tends to get in the way of so many things. I’ve been really busy but I have undertaken a few ‘jollies,’ and I really must write them up and post them soon.
Meantime I thought I’d share some photos I’ve taken over the last year. I know many of you enjoy photos and so do I. Let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy them.
Savill Gardens Sculpture exhibition. The gardens are on the Crown Estate and are part of Windsor Great Park. Near Windsor, Royal Berkshire.Taken by me at West Green Gardens and House. This is looking down the garden steps to one of the garden areas. I wrote a blog a few years ago about this house and its history and it was used by the garden owner on her website. In the distance the White Horse of Uffington, Oxfordshire. White Horse Hill is famous for the ancient chalk horse (top right) and so is the nearby Dragon Hill where St. George slayed the dragon. An Iron age fort has been excavated there and in the same area there is a Neolithic Burial Chamber, Waylands Smithy.High on the Berkshire Downs – between Berkshire and Oxfordshire. This is another piece of sculpture I came across during an exhibition in Savill Garden, part of Windsor Great Park. I love her and took many photos of her. She is made of rusting iron.I love this owl. We were introduced at the RMA Sandhurst in Berkshire, one Heritage Day.One of the gardens at Virginia Waters, part of the Windsor Great Park, Windsor. I love walking here. One of the views of Virginia Waters, Windsor Great Park.
