Ghostly Writes Anthology 2017 Coming soon from Plaisted Publishing with my short story As Cold As Ice A recently widowed new young mother accepts an invitation to move in with her late husband’s family. Their greeting is far from warm and they show little interest in their one and only grandchild, when the young mother arrives at the farm house in Jersey (Channel Islands) which is to become her home for the foreseeable future. Her bedroom opens on to a long corridor leading to the only bathroom on the floor her room occupies and getting to the bathroom proves a chilling experience for her… Based on a real farmhouse and events in Jersey but, of course, there is a lot of poetic license too… Coming soon.
Today I am the Author in the Spotlight over in the FREE Indie Publishing Newsletter, issue 9 http://online.fliphtml5.com/ohxp/fhnc/ There’s lots to read, not just about me but other authors, short stories, flash fiction, reviews and more…. I’m on pages 9,10, and 11 There are some very kind reviews of some of my writing too. Check out pages 17 and 18. I’ve even supplied a never before written down recipe which my late Nan used to make for her children when they came home from school in the winter during the War years. The recipe was used by my own mother and I also use it. All done from memory and without proper measurements, a bit hit and miss. See page 32. We all cooked by sight and feel. So, do pop over and read everything Publisher Claire Plaisted has put together for issue 9. Comments always welcome here. Thanks so much for dropping in.
